The image is nominally 2.39 times as wide as it is high. It is often informally called 2.40:1; exact delivery rasters can be close to, rather than mathematically identical to, the label.
2390 × 1000 is mathematically exact. 2048 × 858 and 4096 × 1716 are common DCI scope active-image sizes at about 2.3869:1. Aspect ratio describes shape, not quality: increasing both dimensions preserves the same composition while adding pixels.
