How these guides are created

This is a curated database, not every possible width-and-height combination. Entries were selected because they are established display, video, cinema, social-design, photo or print working sizes. Each page calculates its exact reduced ratio with the greatest common divisor, plus pixel count, proportional scales, print sizes and crop/fit geometry.

Near matches are not silently rounded. For example, 1366 × 768 is reported as exactly 683:384 and 3440 × 1440 as exactly 43:18, even though both are often discussed using broader marketing ratios. That distinction prevents bad pixel-perfect decisions.

Reference notes

Names are used only where they help identify a working format. For external delivery, verify the current destination specification. See YouTube's official resolution guidance for its current 16:9 examples and the Digital Cinema System Specification for 2048 × 1080 and 4096 × 2160 cinema containers.
